As an organization, RIT Young Professionals encourages all faculty and staff at RIT to stay informed of employment policies. Last week, Human Resources announced several benefits changes scheduled to go into effect on January 1, 2019. Details for each of these changes can found on the HR website.
Just as we encourage employees to stay informed, we encourage young faculty and staff to self-advocate in light of any potential change of significant impact. Staff Council will be addressing these Benefits Updates at their next meeting – Thursday, May 17th at 2:00pm in the SAU 1829 Room. If you have strong feelings about this policy change, we highly encourage you to use this forum to start the conversation. Additionally, RITYP plans on offering additional opportunities for young professionals to continue discussion on these policies, and other concerns, moving forward.
